The metal silicon nitride forms a network structure of silicon nitride, which is tightly bound to the silicon carbide particles to form a dense body. The reaction process is determined according to the DTA curve of silicon powder nitriding, and different nitrogen flow and heating systems are used in different temperature sections. When metal silicon is heated to 1000-1450°C in a nitrogen atmosphere, the nitriding reaction will occur to form a silicon-containing alpha phase and a harmonious beta. By controlling the temperature system α phase and β phase, the phase of silicon nitride in the product can be changed.

Silicon carbide is a synthetic inorganic non-metallic material. Its hardness is second only to diamonds. It has a melting point of 2600 ° C. and a true density of 3.21g/cm3. The thermal conductivity is 8.37 w/m · K; the melting point of silicon nitride is 1900 ° C., the Mohs hardness is 9, the true density is 3.19g/cm3, and the thermal conductivity is 15 W/m · K. Silicon nitride and silicon carbide composite is a new high-performance refractory product developed by combining the properties of both. The chemical properties are stable, the room temperature flexural strength is 4-8 times that of ordinary refractories, 2-3 times that of traditional silicon carbide products (clay-bonded silicon carbide), and the thermal conductivity is 7-8 times that of ordinary refractories, 2 times that of traditional silicon carbide, and half of the thermal expansion coefficient of ordinary refractories. It has good thermal shock resistance, high wear resistance, high temperature creep resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, excellent oxidation resistance, resistance to aluminum (AL), lead (PB), tin (SN), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu) and other molten metal corrosion, good electrical insulation and high specific resistance at room temperature.
