Cast steel is divided into cast carbon steel, cast low alloy steel and cast special steel 3 categories.
① Cast carbon steel. Cast steel with carbon as the main alloying element and small amounts of other elements. Carbon content of less than 0.2% is cast low carbon steel, carbon content of 0.2 to 0.5% is cast medium carbon steel, carbon content of more than 0.5% is cast high carbon steel. With the increase of carbon content, the strength and hardness of cast carbon steel increase. Cast carbon steel has high strength, plasticity and toughness, and low cost. It is used in heavy machinery to manufacture parts that bear heavy loads, such as rolling mill frames, hydraulic press bases, etc.; it is used in railway vehicles to manufacture forces Large and impact-bearing parts such as bolsters, side frames, wheels and couplers.
② casting low alloy steel. Cast steel containing manganese, chromium, copper and other alloying elements. The total amount of alloying elements is generally less than 5%, which has a large impact toughness and can obtain better mechanical properties through heat treatment. Cast low alloy steel has better performance than carbon steel, which can reduce the quality of parts and improve the service life.
③ Casting special steel. In order to meet the special needs of the refining alloy cast steel, a wide variety, usually contains one or more high amount of alloying elements, in order to obtain a special performance. For example, high manganese steel containing 11% to 14% manganese can resist impact wear and tear, and is mostly used for wear-resistant parts of mining machinery and construction machinery. Various stainless steels with chromium or chromium nickel as the main alloying elements are used for parts that work under corrosion or high temperature conditions above 650 ℃, such as valve bodies for chemical industry, pumps, containers or steam turbine shells for large-capacity power stations.
Change characteristics: 304316 cast steel is currently the most widely used stainless steel; 304,C≤ 0.08 Ni8.00 ~ 10.00 Cr18.00 ~ 20.00,Mn<= 2.0;Si<= 1.0S<= 0.030P<= 0.035;304LC ≤ 0.03 Other elements are the same as 304; 304316 is austenitic cast steel, non-magnetic or weakly magnetic, 430403410 these are austenitic-ferritic stainless steels with magnetic properties.
